Setting up SKU level Alert Tolerance

Alert Tolerance Report can be used to fetch all the SKUs and their batches that are going to expire in less than the days mentioned in the report’s search criteria.

This is a customised report and to get this report enabled, ASSURE Success Team needs to be informed of the same.

ASSURE Reports will also have the capability to send emails based on the alert tolerances defined for the SKU in OMS. The only prerequisite for automated email is that alert tolerance should be defined in ASSURE OMS for all the perishable SKUs. Following are the steps to define alert tolerances for perishable SKUs in ASSURE OMS:

1. Define an attribute in the Attributes Configuration screen in OMS for alert tolerance, and note down the Attribute Key field.

2. Upload Alert tolerance in SKU Attribute values for all the perishable SKUs using the Products screen in OMS.

3. Provide the Attribute Key to the Assure Success team with the request of enabling automated email functionality.

Once all the above steps are performed, automated alerts will be sent to stakeholders regarding the product nearing expiry from time to time.

If Alert tolerance of X days is defined in ASSURE OMS for a perishable SKU using the above steps, then as soon as less than X days are left for the product to expire, an automated email will be sent to the stakeholders for the same.

Manually Expiring a Batch

A Batch can be manually expired before its due expiry date using the Batch Details screen in OMS. 

Once the batch is marked as expired, all the inventory of that batch allocated to any order and not yet fulfilled will be freed up and such inventory will not be allocated to other QC pass orders. Also, if any new quantity is GRNed after the batch is marked as expired the QC pass orders will not be allocated for the inventory.

To manually expire a batch, specify the Batch ID in the Batch Details screen in OMS and click on the Mark Batch as Expired button.

⚠️ Note: Once a batch is manually marked as expired, it is permanently moved into expired state even if its expiry date has not been crossed yet.
